Anything can be done... How practical it is ... Well that's the question .... A range top would require the cabinet and counters to be remade... Also there may be a challenge if the cooktop bad is not as wide as what will be required for the range top.... Next issue .... Combustible surface clearances ..... You will probable at the very least have to have 30" of clearance over head to a ventilated combustible... If using a stainless steel hood ..... Again as long as it is wide enough the there should be no combustible issue..... Guess my point is there are a number of things to consider when taking this path
