Looks great. I love your staircase. That's exactly what I'd like to do with ours; what stain did you use?

That was an adventure that took a lot of experimentation. We were looking for something dark that offered a bit of deep red to bring out the darker tones in the Brazilian Cherry flooring. But everything we found in the stores was either too red or too dark. So I ended up mixing 4 oz of Minwax Ebony with 1 quart of Red Mahogany #225. It did the trick nicely. Then apply your preferred varnish over it. I chose a semi satin instead of a high gloss because I preferred that look. Good luck to you!
