Wow a 60” range this will be something else hope the new homeowner loves the noise of the commercial exhaust system it will require . As for the pot filler I never think there is a good place for one but if you must about 14-15” above the range and to the side where the largest btu burners are.

I had a pot filler installed when I recently renovated my kitchen. We didn't know where to put it either and ended up putting it 12" above the top of the range and it is not high enough. I can't use a tall pot on the burner below the pot filler because the handle of the filler hits the pot. I agree with the previous post - at least 15" high. Other than my mistake on location, I love having the pot filler!

find out how tall a lobster pot is, make it 2 inches taller than that. whats the point if it doesnt work for tall pots? the little pots are easy.... and sorry for your mess up scomeau, some times decisions get away from us when we arent looking.

Skip it entirely. A spec home should follow the trends closely and it's off trend. Conspicuous consumption of a 60" range is off trend as well. You don't see many going beyond a 48". Not since MUA with an ERV began to be required and be as expensive as the range and hood all together.

If you're buying a 60" Wolf range, you proably don't care much waht other people thing about what's "in" or not. You're buying it because you like it and you want it. Same goes for the filler. Now to answer your question... It depends on your burner layout. It doesn't need to reach all of your burners and it doesn't need to be centered. If your burners are broken up by a grill or griddle, I'd put it to the side that has more burners and I'd place it where it doesn't look odd. That is to say if you're dealing with 60" wide I'd think 10" off the side would look odd and I would think right on the 30" mark would look odd. Typing here and trying to picture what your range might look like I'd think that 15" - 24" off the side where more burners exist might be about right. Of course now that I'm done typing and seeing you posted this question 6 years ago...I certainly hope you already have this figured out. 8-)
