Look for Bi-folding doors, see "Marvin" doors and windows or "Art Glass Millworks" for a great solution to opening this great space. Steer clear of "La Cantina", lousy service after the sale.

It looks pretty great already. You could put a good sized potted tree in each corner plus in front of the post (either on the indoors or outdoors or both) so the eye doesn't linger on the post.

Alternatively, get a piece of mirror cut to fit the post, but it might look a little commercial and cheap with your nice tiles.

Good luck with it; it seems fine already. Furniture may be the only difference you need.
