Should we extend the back of the first floor or expand the area with the siding on the 2nd to line up with the brick?

Extending the first floor makes the kitchen bigger and gives the possibility of a 1st floor master with a bathroom (that would also be the 1st floor common bath.

Expanding the 2nd floor would add a another bedroom and give the master upstairs on the right a possible bathroom of it's own.

Does anyone know ballpark what something like this would cost? Thanks!!
