I forgot to add, where I live (STL), we have local stores that sell home products that are discounted, and I've seen tops w/ sink cutouts that are ready to go - buy off the shelf and take home that day. 30" sink top $200 and lower for certain granite. I know I saw some 72" tops but they didn't fit my design, but they were much cheaper then going thru the stone yard/fabricator (I'm thinking $400-$600 if I recall correctly).

I do a lot of online shopping but for some things local is better. I wouldn't risk shopping online and delivery for something like this. That after support if any issues is also important. Online isn't always cheaper. When looking at lights, I am getting better prices at a lighting store plus I had their help with selection.

I bought tons of stuff online for my last two bathroom remodels, but I would never consider buying a granite top that way. I want to see the stone in person and see the quality of the fabricator's work in person. I also know that it would be a nightmare to try to resolve a problem with an online stone item. In addition to large shipping charges on something that could weigh 200+ pounds, a piece with cutouts like that would be very dicey to ship and cracking probability would be high. I have had good luck and reasonable prices with remnants at my local stone fabricator.

Buying granite online is worse than buying a mail order spouse sight and personality unseen. More expensive too.
