It is if you want carefree counters. It scratches and stains much easier than other stones. It is very beautiful. Some will put it on a small area, maybe just an island top or if they love to bake bread, in a baking nook, and use something more durable in the usual meal prep area.

Thank you for your quick response. I'm looking for something in Quartz that resembles Carrea or Calcutta...do you have any suggestions? I'm considering Lg Minuet or Roccoco. Thoughts?

I am not an expert on marble like quartz. A kitchen and bath design center probably can show you some alternatives. I have this from a blog I follow:

Thank you for your help.

I have Cambria Quartz and I love it. Maintenance free. Looks great. Made in USA!! Brittannica, Ella, Newport come to mind.

agreed, marble is a "bad" choice if you care about how your surface looks. It is much higher maintenance than quartz.

Thank you. There is just so many types of quartz available. Unless you see a complete slab it's difficult to make a decision.

If you send us some photos, we can be more helpful.

When you fall in love with one thing for your kitchen (either cabinetry, counter, back splash tile, etc), THAT will become your inspiration and your guiding principal for all other decisions.

Try to fall in love with something - :)

Great feedback! I'm doing white shaker cabinets with clove colored hand scrapped floors Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter walls. Looking at Jenn-Air Pro appliances for my kitchen suite. Just having a tough time trying to find the right counter.

Take a look at Organic White from Quartzite. Kitchen is still in progress but you can see the countertops

Does this use of a dark counter on the island and white counters elsewhere appeal to you?

This stone offers more drama, interest and contrast.

What is your gut reaction as you look at each picture?

Beautiful. I entertained the two different colored materials. But I'm apprehensive because of the size of the kitchen 12x13. The second photo with the honed snow white granite looked interesting.
