I'm so upset with this one plant I received today.

its a Hoya Limoniaca. It arrived with spider mites and some type of fungus. I don't want this plant anywhere near my others.

Im so upset and disappointed!

I hover between 350 and 400 plants and I have never had spider mites. Mealies...sure. I have to be diligent. Scale... I have to be careful of those that come from down south, but again... diligence. When you get plants from ANY source, you have to be super-diligent to stave off critters. I'm sure Jodie will stand behind his plants.

Submerge the whole plant in water including the roots and wash down all the leaf surfaces and stems...re-pot in your mix and keep it in another room away from your other hoyas the bugs should come off in the water.

Did you tell CBFM about it? They are usually pretty responsive to issues like that.

Yes, I emailed him immediately, but haven't heard back yet. Guess I'm sticking with Gardino's.

Jodie contacted me and wants to see the plant in person as he has NEVER had mites on his Hoyas.

Really???? With all the plants (not just Hoyas) he has, I find it inconceivable that he NEVER has/had mites.

I emailed a bunch of pictures but if he wants it back he can have it for a full refund including shipping.

Denise - maybe I'm mistaken but there is webbing on the underside of a couple leaves and dozens of microscopic pin holes on the back of some leaves indicating to me that mites were sucking away. I don't know what other critters do that.

Wow, that's a full time job taking care of that many plants. And all the ones I've seen are beautiful. You've got the magic touch:-)
