Dieseler,yes it has started,how about your fig collection. Have you extent your collection with the finest varieties? I have only about 12 kinds now with 6 in the ground the rest in large containers. I remember you from a different forum.

have done drastic cut back of fig trees just to much for me nowadays.

Fig shuffle, watering, fertilizing etc is so much easier and not a chore .

Yes i recall your sn or similar from other forum .

This is the only one i subscribe to now as been a member here the longest .

In my garden i have almost every variety of flower and my favourite fruit "mango".

I'm west of you my favorite and do not recommend it for growers in cold climates is B.Madieria.

No,i don't have to, but you can do it but it is a lot of work,especially pruning and than every 3 years replacing potting mix. If you do you have to make sure you grow it with the right rootstock(not native) Than you have the problem of ripening,most ripen in November

Martin, I got a Smith that is pretty good, grew it in the ground but it is in a container now and doing good.I never tasted a b.madeiria. Right now i have 7 kinds in containers and a few in the ground. If i add another one it will be in a container,it has to be special. For me 7 is the majic number of containers.
