Oops! Conventional alfalfa seed sold as organic.

"Feds investigate Idaho farm business over nonorganic alfalfa seeds"

"Since at least January 2010, Saul Farms regularly bought conventional
alfalfa seed from suppliers that it then sold as organic seed to
customers."

Where they got caught was selling almost 10 times the amount of seed
their "organic" operation could have produced under the best of
conditions.

Where does this leave their customers? I don't know. I know there is a HUGE loophole for organic growers for times when they can't get organic seed, so maybe they will be able to avoid losing their organic certification.
