Bedroom finishing touches

Hi there! We recently purchased this juju hat and headboard. The configuration in the bedroom only works to have the bed on this wall with the slant. We have the round bronze coloured mirror on the right side but I feel like it's too many circles? Any recommendations on what to do for the wall on the right side, lamp, etc?

I would paint that back wall a darker color so the hat doesn't blend in.

would also move it a bit to the right and then add a taller table lamp on the left.

Yes remove the round mirror and paint that wall the same color as behind the bed, will make the wall look less broken up. What colors do you have going on in the room (to paint the back wall).

I would remove the mirror and now t put anything on that part of the wall. What is your clearance on right from night stand to ceiling? Maybe just a simple little task lamp?

If it were my room, I would paint the wall with the mirror on as my accent wall, remove the mirror and replace with the ju ju hat. I would get a taller lamp for the nightstand.

Yes its too many circles. Find another home for the mirror which I love btw. Very nice room. I really like it

I would remove both. Or at least the one by bed. It's competing with the funky slant architectural design

For the bed tucked in like this to work, the alcove itself should be a darker color. You need to make it a separate space.

Thanks everyone! I love these suggestions....great ideas about painting the wall darker and getting a taller lamp. I love the juju hat there and it is the only place that works in the house. :). It's very soft and romantic in real life...I will try to take a pic in daylight.

The only other color is the bronze and some wedding photography that has some light blues in it...but those are repurposed from our old house so we will likely change the pictures.

The clearance is not much on the right hand side table...definitely not enough for a table lamp.

Should I paint the full back wall a darker colour or just the part that the bed is on? I will try to get a picture of the layout as well! Window to the right and door to the left with wall-to-wall built in closet on the wall across from the bed.

I like your room. I suggest adarker color on the wall behind the bed.

Behind the bed for sure - paint darker. Do that and let's go from there.

Back wall would look amateur. Do the whole niche in a complimentary and bold color. I think it'll look very cool!

Would someone be able to help me see what it would look like in a different color?

Here are some pics of the room from other angles. Unfortunately the light isn't great as we have a snowstorm in Toronto and it's still dark before I leave for work :).

My only concern about painting the niche is that it is already quite deep, 2.5 ft, so will it make it look even deeper??

maybe one of the other gals that does photo shop can show you some renderings of the wall painted.

I love it just the way you have it. Looks peaceful and calm and inviting! I think a darker color to accent would take away the calmness.
