Your wall is gorgeous, your chest is gorgeous, but I'm surprised to see them in the same room. The chest is in no way rustic, and the silver ornaments on it don't help. You might get away with the former, but I think the latter should be replaced with items in a hand-made style -- I'll have a look for something in a moment.

First, though, if you want to use simple items like that tree slice, think in terms of multiples or very specific placing. Don't just stick it randomly on the wall (it's not a good placing on that wall, either, so I'd say don't put anything there). You might get two more and use the set of three as below.

Something like this would look good on your chest, and help 'marry' it to the feel of the wall.
