Several Houzzers have done marble/hex tiles in bathrooms and have come to the sight for "help" with several different issues. One has staining at/around the toilette that does NOT coincide with urine...it requires vigorous cleaning/sealing every 2 WEEKS...oh dear.

Others have come back asking about the grout and how to deal with ALL THAT GROUT! More sealing then they thought possible. Some have come back asking about "rust stains" because a metal container was left sitting on the tile for a few hours...which then caused a rust bloom. The rust had to be polished out (professionally).

And on, and on, and on. Of course these are the "bad" events. Not many people come on and say how much they LOVE their 10 year old marble hex tiles...and how easy they are to live with. That hasn't happened yet....but out of all the tiles available, the marble seems to bring plenty of people here looking for help with an "issue". Porcelain doesn't seem to have that issue...hmmmm.

Thank you for your insight. Are you familiar with any porcelain tile that is similar in appearance? I truly want easy care.
