I was looking through some of my old posts the other day and realized I had posted pictures of construction progress but never any of my completed home. Below are pictures about 6 months after construction. If anyone else would like to share pictures of your completed home then please feel free to add them here. I know when I was building I got a lot of ideas from both construction pics and completed home pics so it may be of some help to those in the planning process.

What a beautiful, warm home! What type of wood did you use for your trim, floors, and cabinets?

The soft white painted woodwork also works really well with the stained wood.

Thanks everyone for all the kind comments.

    tnfarmhousefixin,

The cabinets are cypress, the crown molding is pine, and the ceiling beams are all antique heart pine.

What a wonderfully stylistically consistent and carefully detailed home! So appropriate to its bucolic setting.

May I ask about your tub and faucet in the bathroom? My wife wants something similar to that.

It was a custom minwax blend that the painter mixed to match the floor. Here is a link to the flooring. http://www.uafloors.com/g/g931.html

The bricks are reclaimed coffeyville. The mortar is lafarge magnolia Mason's mix. Not sure what sand they used for the mix.

Beautiful - I've never seen cypress cabinets before. Love the floors - I also have wide planked pink floors. Ours are from Carlisle and were a bit pricey so I might be looking for another supplier for our new house. Where did you find yours?

The floors are from UA flooring.

I loved the Carlisle floors also but they were out of our budget for the heart pine.

Cypress cabinets are fairly common in Louisiana. It has a nice grain and accepts stain well.

Thanks for sharing! A very comfortable classy look.

Out of curiosity do you have an upper level that was built with rafters or trusses?
