Storing seed potatoes for a month or so...

Hi all, first post here. I'm on Cape Cod and I just received my seed potatoes. It will be my first year planting them. Upon reading I have found that its not advisable to plant them until the soil temp is around 40 degrees. That wont happen here for about a month and I'm wondering how I should store the seed potatoes until then. They already have buds and some have inch long stems growing. Should I keep them in the fridge, or in darkness or light? Will they last that long.

Thanks all...
