A picture would be great. Do the doors open into space, would sconces be impacted by door swing? What is on the opposite and adjacent walls? Did you pick out the fixtures? The shape of the fixture may have an effect on your placement. Without any of the answers known above my feeling would be to have the fixtures favored towards the jambs of the doors leaving you the flexibility of later hanging something on the walls.
