I have one from World Market that was also really affordable. So far, I'd say it's worn really well. It doesn't show any dirt, which I guess could be good or bad :0 and I've only had minimal shedding--I've heard bad things about jute rugs and shedding. You do have to be careful when you're vacuuming though because some of the tufts will pull a bit. I just tuck them right back under though! I do have a rug pad down to protect the wood floors because it's kind of scratchy and it also stays in place. I'd say good purchase--especially because of the price. Because mine was so cheap, I really don't care all that much about it because I figure it wasn't a huge investment! We are getting a puppy in the fall so that ought to be interesting. I can just imagine what dog nails will do to this thing.

Thank u for responding. Original price for 8x10 was $329 on sale for $80! But I have to spend $90 to have it shipped from Florida to SC. Still a good deal, but not sure I'm making the right decision. Have read some bad reviews. I guess the rug pad is necessary though!

We had one from Pottery Barn that shed worse than a house full of puppies!! It was scratchy too. My husband took it out and burned it!! Lol

On sale last Sun night. Too good to be true, but couldn't find it anywhere close to us and by Mon. Am it was unavailable. I went to the store and they found it in the system! It was in Florida so if I want it I have to pay the shipping which is $90 to SC. I worry if I don't like it, I can return it. I will be out $90 though.

So true! I just loved the natural look. Everything in the house is neutral colors, walls, sofa, tile floors and I was finding it hard to find a rug that didn't clash with the color.

If everthing is neutral you need some color big time there is nothing more boring IMO than an all neutral house and a rug is a great way to introduce some color.

The problem is I have a turquoise entertainment center that really pops and love it. I painted end tables to match and now I wouldn't know where to begin to find a rug that go with that!

I have one in my foyer and one in the kitchen for about 2 years now and they are great. One is extremely soft on bare fee...so there may be different qualities. If our cat stretches with his claws, a few wisps can come loose (on the softer version rug that isn't woven as tight), but I just cut them or push them back in.

Recently bought the blue 9x12 for a great price from Pier One and could not be more pleased with it. So far there has been little shedding with it. I added a thick rug pad which makes it softer to walk on. One thing I have noticed is that it tends to shift and bunch up a bit. It 's easy to get it to lay flat again though. I couldn't beat the price and for me, it's a good interim rug until I can redecorate the living room.

Yes, it's the popcorn jute rug. I think I paid $310 for the 9x12 from Pier One so that is a good price even with the shipping. I think it would look great in your room! Just add a rug pad-got mine from Amazon and had it within 4-5 days of ordering. Really adds to the thickness.

I think the chocolate would look great as well as beige--I know, more beige--but at least you get the texture. That blue rug looks amazing above!!!!

For a 9x12 it is $529.95 US I am Canadian & will have to pay the exchange rate as well as 13% tax, was wondering if the rug is worth it ??? Would it be suitable for a dinning room also.
