Hello! I posted a similar question a month or two ago but we now have made some decisions so I am hoping to get some advice based on the following things.

We decided to paint our cabinets with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint duck egg blue. I have attached a pic of a sample of what he have finished (minus hardware). We are keeping our existing granite counters for now but next year, we want to change to a butcher block counter and I have attached a pic of our island that we have tarted making with this new the of countertop on it. Our kitchen and living room are one space so whatever wall color we choose for kitchen, will follow through to our living space. We won't have upper cabinets anymore but instead, open shelving that are the brown tones you see in the butcher block island top. My dilemma is this:

1.) what color to paint walls, based on new cabinet color and butcher block counter top (since that will eventually be what we have for counters).

2.) also need to decided what white to go with...considering Sherwin Williams Dover white or Benjamin Moore White Dove.

3.). Our painter friend is going to paint the cardiomyopathy that we have bought for our ceiling in living room and kitchen and needs to know what color we want him to use for this as well. I am unsure of whether you use the same white you used for trim or even a different color?

I attached also, a pic of a pillow from our living room...I use this for my color inspiration. I also have attached a pic of two color swatches on our wall. The one on the left is SW rice grain. I put two paint color swatches as well which are our cabinet color and the other is SW Dover White.

Mostly, we are trying to brighten our kitchen and living room, as these rooms don't get much natural light. We have added some lights to our kitchen but we also want to use a color that will lighten the space, while still adding warmth?!?

Thank you for any suggestions. We are nearing the finish line of this project and for health reason, would love for it to be complete. I just can't seem to make this decision.
