Shoji White is one of my favorites, it is a warm white with some beige undertones. This color really works in a range of lighting from more dimly lit to bright.

Popular Gray is a warm and versatile gray - another of my favs.

Avoid "cream" that may have a pink or yellow hue.

My favourite Benjamin Moore whites are Simply White and Chantilly Lace. Neutral and very versatile whites.

I have Simply White on my walls. It's creamy white but not cream. Very clean looking. (I'm actually looking to go less warm, though.)

One of the whites is cool (grey undertones) the other is warm (yellow undertones). Both are lovely...but, you have to ask yourself how you intend to accessorize this space? That can help you as to which direction to go in.

I am leaning towards the one on the left. The great room will be accessories with warm earthy tones - Semihandmade Flat Sawn Walnut cabinets next to the fireplace, bar area and kitchen. I am leaning towards a gray sofa/sectional with a warm rug - waiting to see where the room takes me when it comes to furniture! Thank you for your help!
