Just moved!! Needing help making the kitchen flow.

It's still new and we are adjusting to making our new house our home! I love the kitchen , it's just not my touch. I'm not crafty and hard to vision colors . I always have an idea then when I do it I change my mind. Our back splash I feel like is dark and doesn't flow really. But who knows maybe it does and I don't see that. Our floors are darker with swirls of lighter color, they're good for now.

Our counters are neutral and like our floors except a significant lighter version, with swirls. We are painting toward the end of the month , I'm thinking a gray tone, Ben Moore thunder. I did this in our laundry room. I Love it! I'm stuck on what color to do for back splash and what style would work best and how do I tie it in with what I have? Should I paint navy/gray color and do gray back splash? Right now it's a gold/brown

. Or subway tiles in chevron pattern..!? I'm pulling all directions for any thoughts! Thanks.

Do you want to keep your existing backsplash? You're right in that it doesn't flow. However, since you just moved you can make it work (at least temporarily) choosing a color from the backsplash for the walls. For example I would probably choose a color like Silver Lake if you keep the backsplash.

I would also consider changing your cabinet hardware to a darker finish like black or bronze.

Wow... That's perfect just what I was looking for som inspiration! I really appreciate this. I love the thunder color. The silver finish is a bit to much I agree they need changed. And our fixtures are silver as well which I'm working on finding new . Thanks a lot! I really love those backsplash ideas. I guess I'll be heading to Home Depot!

You're right. The backsplash is out of place. The floors and counters work well together. I wonder if a travertine-look or "tumbled limestone"- look ceramic tile would work with what you have. They would lighten up the space under the cabs while allowing the counters/floors to work together.

Go ahead and google tumbled lime stone. The light cream colours could work very well with the butter-yellow tones in the counter...and work well with the light blonde in the cabs. It could be a quick, easy fix for this kitchen.
