Window coverings for brick wall in kitchen and dining room

We've just enlarged our kitchen and dining room windows so we can see into the forest. The windows face west so a lot of light comes in. What suggestions do you have for type of window covering and colour? Our new brick wall is a gold tone. The patio doors have build in blinds.
