Common names vary from place to place and gardener to gardener. If the botanical name is on the packet I would go by that.

theres a number of different subspecies of st johns wort, all Hypericum, but different species.

Hypericum perforatum is the most common feral type, a great medicinal but on the weedy side. i actually like useful/medicinal weedy types, but to be true, its rather plain looking.

mostly people grow one of the other species for ornamental/pollinator/medicinal also...purposes. i think 'albury purple' is one of the most popular for landscaping

I believe I sent you those seeds. St. John's Wort 'Albury Purple' Hypericum androsaemum was on the plant label. I looked up 'Tutsan' and it is sometimes found with the Albury Purple name. Also, Sweet-amber.

Albury Purple was discovered on the grounds of Albury Park, a stately home in Surry, England.

FYI- Spring planted St. John's Wort seeds need to be stratified 6 to 8 weeks before planting.
