Your plant is a nice one la_kitty. I have tried them a few times, but they never really grew as impressively as yours. So I moved on to other species.

I planted some Iberis about 15 years ago and its still there, blooming every spring. Tougher than it looks!

Yes, I was surprised by the blooms because I've been trying to grow this plant for a few years and this is the 1st year of great blooms!

I have an entire hedge of Iberis. It is not as low water as I wanted it to be. I tried to get away with only three waterings last Summer and it started to brown. I won't make that mistake again. They are easy to grow from seed too. Another low water flower is Saponaria. Mine are just starting to come into bloom. Sorry, no pictures.

Well, that explains it. ;-) I'm not always the most patient gardener. Ground space is precious, and if it isn't something uncommon or special in some way, underwhelming-performers find themselves relocated to apartment living (ie stacked in the green bin).
