With this work with my plumbing?

The plumbing for my shower will be coming from lower on the wall( the bath spout) vs higher, where the shower head will placed. This seems to be an unusual feature, will this or any other similar product work with that setup?
I'd like to avoid a complete demolition of the wall just to raise the water source.
