Guest bath and master bath help

We are remodeling our house and its time to choose the tiles for bathrooms. I picked out a basketweave calacatta with beveled subway for guest bath (shower/tub combo). For master I picked the hexagon calacatta with a quilted pattern tile for walk in shower. Now, I'm not sure I love the hexagon as much as the other one. Would it be too matchy matchy to do same floors in both?

IMO the tile for the shower walls( quilted ) is not a good choice just think cleaning and the same for the subway tile I like large format simple tile in showers less grout easier cleaning as for the same in both bathrooms it is done all the time most people will never see your master bath so they will never know.

No problem doing both floors the same and not to matchy. I have three baths with similar floors - it helps with consistency. You can also just switch and do the one you like best for the master.

We're not finished yet but we just filed our kids bath with marble tile and did a matte gray floor... We used left over floor pieces and sliced them to add some accent to the shower. I think a light floor would show every speck of dirt. I would go with a solid tile for the floor.

Love love love the honeycomb I may choose it myself, it's a little more of an update from the classic weave

Are you talking just floor of the shower, or the entire bathroom floor as well? I have the small hex in shower and floors in master bath with subway marble on walls of shower, and although beautiful, it requires a lot of upkeep. Needs to be professionally sealed at least once a year.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am talking about the bathroom floors. I am one of those people that doesn't love large format tiles.

I also tend towards mosaic tiles for bathroom floors. I used gray grout and they have held up well, though they are not marble. I probably would not use marble in a bathroom because I do not like extra upkeep and have kept it simple with white mosaics or white and black mosaics and then white subway wall tile. My son's bathroom has a white mosaic with a black small square pattern. It is a pattern that has been out for some time. I do like the basket weave pattern and might have chosen it if it had been available when doing the bathroom floors.

Thank you all. I am going to go with same floors in both baths. They will have different shower tiles and fixtures so it won't look like builders grade updates.

It looks beautiful. I love all you've picked yet the marble can absorb so much and the upkeep can be a problem. For those that color their hair on their own then have to rinse in the shower white marble..... it would have to be sealed and sealed and kept up on! I wanted to go this route so badly recently and decided against it only due to many things such as blond hair/purple shampoo to keep lighter hair bright. It would have been a disaster with marble WHICH I LOVE. They have some lovely white mosaics out there so just wanted to say this. Maybe you are up to the work it will take for the beauty it offers.
