600cfm is ok if you don't do lots of high heat high grease cooking. If you do that often, you should get more power.

Also it's advised that you go with a hood that is 42" wide.

The bluestar hood is fine, but not special in terms of function. Ventahood uses a filter less design that is very efficient and has a LOT of capture space because of it.

There are plenty of hoods out there that would work. Elica also makes one that has a 1200cfm as does Faber if you wanted to cut the price down a bit.

I have a 36RNB, and went with the Prizer hood, and chose a 1000 cfm remote blower.

Very satisfied, and the hood is an absolute work of sheet metal art.

Modern-Aire is another good choice, but I found the fit and finish of Prizer to be just a notch above.

thank you. I will check this out

I also have a Prizer hood over my BS. I have their standard incline wall mounted hood. It looks great, works very well and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to clean, and the curved edges/corners were a must for me. I didn't want sharp edges that some other hood brands offer.

I have a 600 CFM Modern-Aire hood that works very well.

We have a 36" RNB with a 42" x 27" VAH with the 600 cfm blower. Has worked fine for 10 years for everything we've thrown at it, including searing and wok cooking.

VAH 900 cfm blower. Happy customer. Reinstalled with the last renovation. It worked great, so there wasn't any reason to replace. I think you would be happy with any of the hoods that have been suggested.
