What color are the walls? What does the floor look like?

I'm not seeing gray in the countertop - it seems warmer?

There is some gray! I think i am just stuck on gray! What do you suggest!

I'd like to see a cream or almond subway tile. You have a lot of dark tones with the cabinets and flooring.

It is difficult to mix cool gray with warm wood tones. Gray is in, but that will pass, look for a great match with your counter that also keeps the kitchen light. You will be happier in the long term.

I like the gray idea...it is a little overused today but not in this type of setting..usually you see it in a more contemporary sleek kitchen...in this kitchen it is would be more unexpected and elegant...add an interesting contrast to the rustic feel of the cabinets...

Have you considered using a metal backsplash for your kitchen? It would brighten up the space and would go well with your granite countertop (since it has gray in it) and your stainless steel appliances.
