Lazy_G is entirely correct. All foods have some toxicity, and more than 90% of the carcinogenic power in the general population diet is from alcohol. so the worry about RU is laughable.

You have to understand toxicity in the context of evolution. We add toxicity to crops which are not toxic enough to fend off weeds or pests on their own. Or, we develop plants which are toxic enough to kill all pests on their own. We then grow them organically and market them as organic. For example, all "organic" wheat that is actually circa 1960 hybrids, replacing much more benign but more fragile heirloom varieties. You always consider total toxicity to make a decision.
