I would for sure go for the lighter grout color on the right. I was considering a similar, but marble herringbone on mesh sheets for my backsplash. I love the look. I have very similar cabinets to you. Yours do look very nice.

However, I found out after living with the uninstalled tiles for over a month, unless I was willing to take the time or pay someone to cut the mesh backing and use a gazillion spacers on every single grout line, the lines would be slightly off.

So, I would want a grout that would not stand out and highlight the grout lines being slightly off close up. The darker will stand out more.

I vote frost.

Either will look fine, it's a beautiful tile and a nice install, so congrats!

One thing....you say "but I don't want to ruin the way it looks" because you like the way it looks now. The lines between tiles are much more pronounced now that they are empty and appear "black" than they will be when grouted, so far from grout making them more pronounced, your grout choices (vs. none) will make them far less less pronounced, and this will make the bs look very different than it does now. You're fine with that, right?

Thank you for your comments. I did consider the no grout giving a more pronounced look. However, I like the tile more when I look at it from an angle rather then straight on. See my picture attached with lines I drew

I'm the voice of dissent here but I prefer the darker grout. Just think it looks better in your pics.

As far as the pics go, the first one gives me that "wow" factor.

Gorgeous!!! We are also installing a herringbone back splash in the next few weeks, though with slightly longer tiles. I selected a lighter grout as I felt it'd make the space look more cohesive and less "busy".

May I ask what materials your tile and counter top are? They are just lovely together!

I pick lighter--but either would look good. Your kitchen looks great!

Lighter. The darker one seems to have a slight brown undertone but it's hard to tell because everyone's monitor is different.

Thank you everyone for your help. I ended up going with the lighter colour. It ended up drying white, but...it ended up looking great. I love it. The white is not bright white. The funny thing was white was my first choice, but I was scared that it would look stark so I thought grey would look better. It dried to the perfect white. I will post pictures in a few days, once I've cleaned the tiles.

So glad you chose the lighter color, I was going to suggest white but it sounds like you got the best of both! lol We have that exact tile on our fireplace surround with white grout (white painted mantle) and it looks amazing.

Yea! I can't wait to see pics. So glad you are happy. What kind of stone is your backsplash? Also, is that sink your main sink? If so, what kind is it and what size? I like it. Finally, Season Contreras can you post a pic of your fireplace surround? I would love to see it! I am considering herringbone around a fireplace too. Would love to see yours.
