Appliance wall help

Can someone help me with height/placement of appliances in an appliance wall with no countertops? I am planning on putting a 30"x30" convection oven, 24"x18" combi steam oven, 24"x18" coffee maker, and 24"x18" microwave (all miele) in a wall. Ideally, I'd like to put my Breville toaster oven (18"x11") somewhere in there as well. I will have two columns (one will be 30" wide and the other 24" wide) on that wall. I'm thinking I should stack the steam oven (with trim) above the oven in the 30" stack and then put the coffee maker, microwave, and toaster in the 24" stack, but I'm worried the topmost appliance will be too high and/or the bottom-most appliance will be too low. What is the maximum/minimum height for these appliances? My husband is 5'11" and I'm 5'4". Also, do all the appliances need to match? The only one I'm iffy on is the Miele microwave because I can get one so much cheaper from a different brand. Also, Miele doesn't make a drawer microwave and I'm wondering how inconvenient it will be if I put a door microwave close to the floor.

gorgeous! i love your kitchen! i only wish i had the space for that kind of arrangement - all the appliances look like they are the ideal height! i do love the pull-out countertop idea - i have already asked my designer to incorporate that. can i ask what you store in the drawers below your appliances? also, what is your island countertop made of?

I had a range in my last kitchen, so I am used to bending over to reach whatever is in my oven, and while not ideal, it's fine. What I don't want is something too high. I think it's dangerous to have to do is reach up to pull something out of an oven (I don't understand over the range microwaves!!) In order to figure out a placement for me, I went around to various appliance stores in the city and pulled out racks until I found the height that I thought was most comfortable. I measured the distance and that's what I went with. FWIW, I am 5'3", the top of my steam oven is at 58 1/2", and the drawer under the regular oven is 9".

If you decide on the Miele microwave, I would figure out the ideal height for it and put the coffee machine above it as it is easier to reach up for a coffee. I'd probably put the toaster oven underneath as I would expect to use the combi steam oven more than the toaster oven (unless you are making toast, and then having it lower would be fine).

We have a Sharp micro and a pretty nice SS trim kit - I too could not justify a "high end" micro....

Island Countertop - Super White Quartzite; Perimeter Countertop - Caesarstone Belgian Moon. The Miele ovens come with racks and trays. Some of them I store above the convection oven (vertical storage) along with baking trays, but the remaining ones I place in the drawers. I totally agree with jannicone that the Miele speed oven/microwave is over kill, but DH wanted the sleek look on the appliance wall. Hey I wanted just a BlueStar rangetop and we ended up the range!

Please note the large number of drawers in this kitchen. Excellent.

    Beautiful kitchen, too.
