Nothing can make up for windows that let in lots of light and good artificial lighting. You need to take a critical look at your space.

Any chance of changing out your carpet? That light from the fan isn't doing your space any favors. The quality of light from the fan lights is never any good. Either remove the light kit or keep the lights off and replace with alternate lighting sources.

You can break up the grey walls with simple white shelves from IKEA. Does your daughter have a toy chest for storing items?

Beautiful photos filled with great ideas! Are you going to store your daughter's toys in the living room or her room? A toybox is a great place to store kid's toys in their room. In the living room, you could get a coffee table or ottoman that has storage.

To lighten the room with paint, I would suggest painting with similar colors that are in the first 2 photos. Classic Silver by Behr paints is very similar in color to the first photo. It looks great with Ultra White semi-gloss paint for the trim. Here is a photo of my living room with these paints:

It would help to see more photos of your space. The first room looks a bit formal...is this for a living or family room? For toy storage always purchase pieces with hidden storage.
