I'm working on a tumbler top right now that I'd like to get finished. I've been going through my stash and have several that could become something beautiful but I think I'm going to try to stitch together some baby receiving blankets with the various flannels I've accumulated. If I don't use some of my hoarded stuff - I won't be able to justify shopping for some new treasures. I probably have more than enough for at least a dozen or more blankets. We will be gone for a couple of weeks with the RV so I only have a short time to sew - (unless I sneak the machine and stuff in.)

I picked up the Log cabin from the LAQ this morning. The binding was made earlier, so Job One will be to do some binding. This will be handsewn to the back.

I have been working on the sampler quilt for the past two weeks. My original plan was to use both turquoise and lime green in the same quilt. And while I like the blocks individually, I decided against that. I had enough of all of the fabric and so now am making two quilts, one green, one turq. Down to the last six blocks. And then of course, comes the sashing etc. I think April will be a busy month.

Binding the Sweetheart Twister wallhanging and get it sent to my sister and her husband. Work on May's block lotto. Finish the Star Wars zipper quilt and get it sent to my great nephew for his birthday, which is middle of the month.

Good for you bk on the AQ cutter purchase. I hear that people who have one love it. Let us know how you make out. An I Spy quilt is on my list of quilts to make. Look forward to seeing pics of yours!

I did not finish a UFO in March, so I hope to get 2 done this month. I have an I-spy ready for quilting, and 4 more tops that just need pressing and they will be ready.

I went to Wal Mart to get some cheap fleece for my design wall DH is making me, but they only had about 3 yards of several colors, except for hunter green, lots of hunter green.

I'm almost done with the Train top......just need to sew some rows together and think about a border.

Fleece for the design wall......good idea!!!

I'm not sure about my April goals. I was going to start the clergy stole for my girlfriend today, but I don't really feel like diving into that. Maybe I'll work on piecing my second Allietare top, now that I worked out all the bugs with the first one.

Here it is, the 15th of April already!! I have met my goals except for 2 and I don't know why I keep putting it off. DD is back from Vegas, so I can send Aiden's quilt to her now. I have a mind block on quilting the girly LW......strange. I have a new eye now so maybe it won't be so bad. Had scar tissue growing where they did some surgery and it was covering the seeing part of my lens. Doc zapped it gone.

    How is everyone else doing?

Sharon, I'm glad to hear the procedure improved your vision!

I haven't done much sewing this month at all. It's a combination of being busy and not being motivated when I have time. :) I did finish the second Allietare top, though. I also finished the hand outline quilting on my wall hanging. Now I just need to add some background quilting and bind it. Maybe I'll make that a May goal!

I've been stalling on the stole. I think I'm afraid to cut into the $25/yard silk dupioni. :)

Sharon, like you I finished all my April goals, first time ever! Great nephew should be getting his Star Wars quilt today, looking forward to hearing from them. His mom said he's been checking the mail box everyday looking four mail from Great Aunt Carol! Trying to decide what to do next, start the Frozen attic window quilt, work on June lotto blocks, start another Star Wars zipper quilt, choices, choices, choices! Glad your sight is better.

Donna, I understand the fear - take a deep breath, picture in your mind the cutting and do it! Can't wait to see it finished, that is a wonderful gift for your friend.

It's amazing how much more clearly I can see! I could even see the edge of the binding (pulled from the back) when I stitched it to a little quilt yesterday.

Finish the Train top: DONE Get another set of squares sewn for my cousin: DONE & SENT Send Aiden's quilt: DONE Finish the LW girly quilt: DONE Make the FB BOM for April: DONE

WooooHoooo........now what do I do? Maybe do some more quilting on the (UFO) Ins and Outs quilt.

Sharon, that's awesome! I'm so glad your vision is better!

I'm still stalling. LOL. I test-stitched my embroidery design, and it's beautiful! Now I just need to test it on the actual fabric. I did a test of my machine applique cross, and my MA stinks! I haven't done any in a long time. My curves are really bad. So, next test is a hand-applique version. If that doesn't work plan C is to machine embroider the cross.

This past weekend I was just frustrated with the whole thing. Maybe I'll give it a try one evening this week. Most of next weekend will be spent house cleaning, getting ready for my sister's visit. :)
