Design Question

Martha, I have a design question regarding Revere Pewter color. My living room in Austin is very similar to this one - two story, big windows, tall white fireplace. However it does not seems to have as much natural light. I am considering changing the color to Revere Pewter but I am concerned that room would look too dark and closed in. The sample looks good on the wall but is just such a small piece. Would you still recommend Revere Pewter, or maybe try 50-75% or a different gray all together that is lighter. Your work is absolutely superb and gives me so much inspiration for my remodeling. And you are angel of patience to answer all of those questions (over and over again). Best Regards.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to best recommend a color for you to use as it is so dependent on opinion. We would highly suggest test painting small areas on the wall in your living room. Look at it in all different lighting throughout the day, as the light will bring out different colors in the paint. We feel that this is the best way to find the right paint color and tone for your home!

Color can change dramatically in different lighting circumstances. The best solution i think is what Martha said. I would then experiment with the temperatures of the artificial lighting, so i can emphasize the best spots in the room, especially at night.
