Affordability is my biggest concern. I would love to have a beautiful Trex deck so we wouldn't have to worry about the upkeep, but the cost is prohibitive.

What to do with the existing deck surface - rip out, overlay or what else, and implications of each on installing Trex

I can't help wondering what goes on under a deck. Is the space easily accessible in case of vermin infestation or other unforeseen developments?

Our first brand new home & our garden is on slight incline therefore summer furniture is Not possible my concern would be water build up

I think that the worry about having enough money to finish the job. I know I could get it started.

My biggest concern of building a new deck is definitely the cost. If it were just the boards or the railing on my deck that needed to be repaired, I wouldn't have a problem doing it myself, but the whole deck needs to be rebuilt.

As a contractor I'm not surprised to see most of the answers here referring to price.My biggest concern is the quality of the products and how well they will last.
