I found great reclining furniture at Lazy Boy. If you do not want any reclining furniture, they also sell stationery sofas and chairs. Havertys is also a great place for furniture. I discovered it a couple of weeks ago while visiting my daughter in Virginia. Before I got married, my husband to be and I went furniture shopping. We did not buy everything at the same store. It depended on what a store had on sale, quality, and of course, if we both liked it.

If you are starting from scratch, the first thing you need to do is decide what style you like. That will make it easier to find things from different places that go together. Look at photos to narrow down your style, and then you will know where to shop.

Don't buy a matching set. Instead get a ie a neutral couch which doesn't need to be white, you could go with a color you like and then get two chairs or a loveseat in a pattern that has some of the couch colors in them. Take your time, you don't have to get it all at once or from the same store. If you really like blue for instance, you can, imo, get a deep blue couch & use that as a starting point. Have fun!
