Although these could be installed inside a drawer, I don't think that's the best solution for keeping your knives at hand for two reasons. 1) The magnets are fairly strong for holding knives securely to a wall. You want to use a twisting motion to remove knives from the bar. 2) They are 1.5 in thick and the handles would not lay flat on the drawer bottom. I would suggest an in-drawer knife tray. Search "knife tray" in category "shop" and you will find several options. I like the 11 slots. For a more customized solution, we have knife racks for displaying our products in the showroom and had our cabinets built with magnetic sign material. The same type a business would use on the side of their truck, similar to refrigerator magnet material. Simply have a 5/8 in. sheet of plywood cut to the size of your drawer leaving a six inch gap at the front of the drawer for the knife handles. Cut the magnet material the same size and attach with screws or double faced carpet tape. This holds the knives very securely and is a quick and easy customization.
