Are you planning on putting anything else in the beds besides rocks? If you are, or even if you are not, I find the flower bed overcrowded with rocks. I do like the rocks when they are placed around the outside of the flower bed and in the corner on the top flower bed.

You should get some smaller river pebbles and create a rock garden. Add a outdoor lantern, or some outdoor feature like a fountain into the mix. Some native plantings. click photo to enlarge

Doesn’t make much sense to just toss them in there any old way why not check out japnaese gardens and see if that give you some inspiration.

I've placed a few rocks in the corner's just trying to come up with something that looks good and to keep the mulch in the bed when it rains. the rocks that are in a pile are still where they were dumped by the delivery man because I don't know where to place them.

I plan to have black mulch and a few big rocks with some kind of flowers growing behind them... I have a few little grass things that made it through the winter, you can see one of them in the last photos, ill get more of those... I had some tall things that looked like blue bonnets (??)

What I am going for is simple with some color... something that looks natural, like the rocks were "born" there, not placed .

I need some kind of plan....im lost!
