Annoying master bedroom door

I have a double door on my master bedroom. It opens in but the side that normally opens blocks off the closet part way. The other side has the light switch behind it... Not a huge deal on the grand scheme of problems but it's a tad annoying. Surely there's a creative way to make this all flow better.... Ideas?

I'd tell you to do a sliding barn door. The old door here opened into my master bath and partially covered my closet entrance. In your case it would need to be large and you'd have to move switches. Not sure it would work for you?

I like the openness when they are both open. Usually it's just one though.

To open out it would cover the bathroom entrance...

Would you be able to change your doors to a slider or barn door? That would be a solution to your problem.

I wondered that. Not sure how it would work though with the return air vent and light switch...

Can you move the light switch into the hallway? I had a switch moved to accommodate a bathroom door move and it wasn't horribly expensive. Then maybe you could swap the door hardware so the other one opens first. Or maybe replace the double door with a single door and sidelights (frosted if needed for privacy). Ask Elmo what he thinks.

Ok, out on a limb here.... Can you do a fixed side panel, like a front door? Not the color of below, but a fixed element that wont go into the closet ...
