A moment of complacency and bloody snails ate 6 tomato seedlings. Weirdly, despite quite a large choice, they went for Stupice (5) and 1 Dr.Carolyn. I still have heaps of Dr.C but only 2 Stupice left (although I have Matina). Also, having just moved 'em all out to greenhouse, it is now freezy. True, 46F isn't terminal but we have a short(ish) intense season in UK and I really try to keep plants growing (even though it is often borderline touch and go) as every check seems to put them back a week or so. Anyway, all lidded up and tucked in with fleece. Do other posters have/expect an attrition rate? With perennial seedlings, which stay in pots all summer, the death rates are high (watering)- often 50% overall - but I would feel a bit of a fail with 10%of tomatoes...and I am almost at that in 1 night!
