That looks good.....you may want to hang slightly lower but it's hard to tell from this angle of the pic. If you have a TV going above the fireplace then you will want to walk as far back to see if the light at a lower height will disrupt the TV view. Otherwise it looks great!

Yes hang below the trusses.....that's what I did and I have two.

Hi MjMorris59, that looks like an amazing room! I would prefer four hanging lanterns for your room. I like the light fixtures to fill the open space. If you have one truss in the middle, the fixtures could hang centered between the middle truss and the end walls and centered on the arches on either side of the fireplace. I also like them to hang somewhat low, centered between the floor and the bottom of the truss.

See the attached photo, I like lanterns about this size for your room. These are roughly 48" square.
