It looks beautiful so far! You've done a great job wit the selection of the chairs and the rug.... the wall color is deep and rich!. You might think about a textural large scale pattern to add interest to the room, possibly with two or more colors, like a yellow, grey and white, or even a yellow, grey and pop of purple. Or perhaps a solid very full pair of panels which would add a luxurious feel and increase the warmth (and hide that return duct a bit):

Thanks Elizabeth. I'm going to paint that awful return duct. Builder was clearly not thinking!!! I agree with what you've recommended. Thank you so much for chiming in.

I'm actually replacing the rug...I now hate it and am going with a different one from Ballard Designs. Hope it works otherwise I'll have to place it into another room
