Paint color and furniture color clashes -- I'd repaint the walls an off-white. Need larger rug (should extend under all the seating pieces), preferably one that provides more contrast to the couch, etc. -- maybe you could get something with your red accent color too. Coffee table last.

Why are you ignoring the FP? Green chairs do not go with the sectional & chair.

Red and pink is not a pleasing combination. Paint the walls a warm neutral. Here's a start. I couldn't move your furniture, but I included a rug from Pottery Barn that will probably go with your sofa, red throws, and green chairs.

Heavens, don't hang anything on the wall behind your bra. Exactly how big is your bra...because I'm guessing it won't be big enough. ;-) (I'm also guessing auto-correct got you, but I can't figure out what you meant.)

I wouldn't hang curtains; it looks like you need all the natural light you can get in this room. I'd also consider changing out the chandeliers. The ones you have cast really spooky, unattractive shadows on the walls.

Hello...what is the purpose of the single skinny Grecian style column? Is it a cleverly disguised support beam? If not, I would say remove it from the room, as it doesn't suit the leather style soft furnishings.

If you need to keep the chairs as they might be sentimental, perhaps turn them towards each other and put a low coffee table in between? But out of the way of the firebox, so you can see the fire from the sectional.

You need lamps. That overhead light makes everything look harsh. Turn it off....keep it off.

I just have done my kitchen- new white countertop and backsplash. My backsplash has little bit of beige however I can see that it doesn't match with my cabinets. I m so disappointed . Could someone help me with ideas? Do I need to refinish my cabinets?

From this photo alone, I would paint the cabinets a color to blend in with the backsplash and the stainless. Maybe a greenish grey or white would be better. Painted cabinets, if done correctly, look fresh and modern.

I would redo the backsplash. For one, it will be cheaper than painting the cabinets. For two, that backsplash is incredibly busy and crazy-making, IMO.

I don't dislike your backsplash - from here there's a blue cast on the bsplash - is there any blue?

Backsplash doesn't have to match the wood. What does your question mean to grover I think you meant ... ? They got creative with display of liked kitchen items... you too?

A lot of kitchens blend uppers and lowers with elements in the room - Idk if I would change the cabinets at all, but what about the exact same white as counters / for the uppers?
