Kitchen colors help please!

I have dark granite counters with painted light brown and black cabinets and light oak floors. I'm tired of the colors and really want something brighter. I'm worried about white with a teen and 3 dogs. I need suggestions on colors for walls and cabinets. I can change the knobs too, I like the light gray and silver look and even like a dark cherry color wood look for cabinets. But don't know how to put it together!

I'd paint the cabinets a grey-blue and the walls a lighter version of the same color. It looks a little choppy now and having a simpler palette would let your counters shine.

The two toned cabinets, white dishwasher and the brass & white pulls are not working.

Are you able to reface the dishwasher in black to coordinate with your other appliances?

Your counters are the star. Paint the upper and lower cabs Sandy Hook Gray HC 108 which is a medium toned taupey gray - it will compliment the counters and tie the two together.

Paint all the walls Revere Pewter HC 172 - a lighter taupey gray.

Replace all hardware/pulls with brushed nickle - contemporary style.
