Besides that gorgeous view you have from the window, you do not have any color in the room. It is all mostly neutrals from what I can see. I do see some red in the rug, curtains, and a little bit in home decor. Red pillows, just a couple here and there, will add pops of color to your room. I would replace the white or black pillows with red!

A different mirror over the fireplace....perhaps something on either side of it as well....shelves? Plants?

Two mirrors is too many. Place those in the house where they will reflect something nice to look at. Add art in a fairly large scale. Change the plain white pillows for some with color. Add a couple of books to the coffee table along with a wooden bowl for remotes. Add a potted plant to the table as well. The tall brass vase on the mantle is too large for that spot. Maybe on the floor next to the FP.

You have a beautiful space. But it does need colour. Pick one wall to make it an accent wall and paint it a bold colour and accessories from that. You may also want to consider adding built in shelves in either side of the fireplace as well for storage to better anchor the space because the fireplace looks a bit out of place right now.

please get some original art for your walls.

also a good rule of thumb is that you need 3 of anything to make it feel like it was meant to be. i first heard it regarding color, but you can do it with other things too. most of your things seem to work fine, but the rug is the only thing with red. and i must say the pillows are a little bland?

The curtains are a tad short for the windows, but they are nice. Can you use the two that you have and put them at the kitchen windows(will need to hem them), then, buy them longer and put about 3 panels on each side of the window in your living room. This will bring in nice color.

Thankyou all !! I will replace the brown pillows with red satin pillows soon. I like the accent wall with bold color idea. which exact bold color should i use if i plan to make the fireplace wall as my accent wall?

Also which kind of wall art will best suit in this room? any examples from websites please.

art should be something you love and you can afford original, if you can not find local then i would go to saatchi art or etsy, both have large originals normally for under $200.

Art instead, large over the fp. Two stools at the kitchen opening. Lamps, end table. Or lamp on metal stand near kitchen opening. Floor lamp on either side of fp.

Move the stick vase put a tall potted tree there. Get a mirror that is not so high and just a couple of larger items on mantel.

You have a mirror right across the room! ART ART ART!

Center your console on the wall that's on the hardwood. Replace mirror with art or you can put the art over FP instead of mirror.

Center the console under the mirror
