Kirei board countertops?

Can you speak about the use of Kirei board as a countertop material? How is it finished? What are its properties? What about maintenance?

    Thanks for your question - as you can see in the photo Kirei Board can make a great countertop. It is not as hard as bamboo for example and requires solid finishing to give it a durable surface that can resist dings, slicing and water. We often recommend an epoxy finish or multiple coats of a good clearcoat to get to a resistant surface.
