I have a beautiful 4x4 raised bed square of Florence Fennel that I planted late last summer. I mulched it with pine straw, and they all lived through the winter. The bulbs are nice and thick now. I noticed yesterday that one of the planted is sending up a bloom. Can someone tell me what difference it will make if I leave the bloom or remove it? Any other advice on where I go from here with the fennel would be appreciated.
