that little bump near the center.. is probably the original plant.. grafted on 12 or 18 inch root stock ... if i had to bet a nickle... that is near where a tag or name plate is ... and its upright form.. might indicate.. it has some non weeping understock growing there ?????

it can easily be tamed thru pruning ... BTW.. you dont mention where it is ...

finally ... over the years ... i have found it near impossible.. on many conifers.. to ever come to any conclusion of a proper name ... many are flash in the pan offerings ... maybe only one or two years ... you would have to go back in time .... looking at this plant ... 10 to 15 years ago ... IF it was a collector plant ... and see what was being offered ...

if it was just something BBStore offered ... then it was mass produced ... and a name is more likely ...

why do you want the name .... just a curiosity??? .. want more??? .. or for pruning info?? .. is it yours????

It looks akin to a green bear rug. Some may not know what I'm talking about, and I'm sorry to break this to you, but these are the hideous rugs people make out of bears (black bears around here), including the head. The plant is awesome, but I can't help but see a bear rug. They need to tear it out and plant something else. ;)

I think it's badass looking and it would stop me in my tracks. I hate bear rugs - I don't see the comparison that maackia sees.
