Ignore the sink, center the light on the vanity, replace with a larger if desired. The light will be centered over the mirror, which should be centered over the vanity as well.

how big is the bathroom? is there any natural light? is the wall colour shown an accent wall?

The bathroom is 6'x10'. No natural light. Paint is Sherwin Williams Kilim Beige. My main issue I think is the electric outlet. I think it should be placed further to the left and not over the counter, so I can center a mirror.

Seems like there is huge amount of wasted space on that wall This is a light fixture I use a lot in bathrooms with little or no natural light it is called oxygen bath bar as for the plug you can probably have that moved usually they are put above a counter for ease of use.

Does the light you mention light up a space 6x10?

you could change the light, but why not put the mirror centred, above the outlet. from what I can tell, the height would be suitable
also, you didn't mention it, but would you consider repainting? at least 3 of the room's walls? it looks rather dark as is. or can you get another light for the room to help the light aspect

You could get a longer vanity light and an oval mirror. Or get can lights installed and drop two pendants on either side. Or you could move the outlet down and turn it sideways. Either way, you have room for the right mirror as is.

Beverly I like that but if the power outlet was moved to just outside the counter edge and down level with counter top don't you think that would be a better look, with a bigger mirror? I have that option as I have an electrician and we're still in the build mode.

Deb, getting the outlet out of the way of course would be better. Also I could never live with just two outlets in my bathroom.

A light the length of the vanity would be good too.

Bev it's a guest bath. My Master has plenty of outlets. I do think I need a longer light at least the length of the counter. Definitely moving the outlet somewhere.

I vote for moving the outlet and using a longer light.

I've decided I'm moving the outlet down to horizontal at back splash edge and getting a 45 inch lightbar which will be 4 inches smaller than vanity top. Thank you all!
