The fabric is
only available in a 54" width so our shower curtain does have seams. We use the full fabric width in
the center and 2 panels of equal width on either side for balance. (The pattern is matched.) The lining is a cotton/poly
sateen that doesn't take the place of a plastic, water-resistant
liner. It's used to hide the seams and
add body to the fabric. We sell many unlined shower curtains, too. It's just a matter of personal preference. We'll be glad to send you a free sample of the fabric so you can see/feel the fabric if you'd like. We'd just need your mailing address. Thanks for your interest!
