Cément floor went wrong... Help!

Hi everybody,
I am currently building a house and the floors are poured concrete.
Unfortunately, at one place, it went wrong and I have to find a way to make it right. The problem is about 15 cm wide and in a corridor.
I was thinking of cutting the faulty part out and putting in its place a band of wood just slightly thicker, which would overlap the cut out area.
Would this be feasible? I am not worried about the looks but about the technical issues....
I will post a picture later ( I haven't taken one yet!)
Thanks for your other ideas to camouflage the problem!!!

Cutting into a slab and 'placing' something into it is not a very good idea. You will have to explain "wrong"....

Are you aware that "poured concrete" is rarely good enough for 'flooring' grade concrete? Did you know that 99% of all concrete floors are NOT the stuff you see poured at the beginning of the build?

Have a chat with your professional concrete finisher. They will most likely have a solution for the problem once the build has been complete and the concrete is ready to take its micro topping (yes...you need more concrete to get a concrete floor...sounds silly but that's the way it works).

Talk to your professional concrete floor finisher before you cut out slab. It will work out better in the long run.
